rustle in the trees
dissonance grows with thunder
air gathering weight
flowers lay open
swirls of insects tell the time
waiting for the break
earth breathes and cries out
to be christened in the storm
flashes leading home

I tried to leave a comment already, but my fingers didn’t obey and suddenly it vanished, hopefully into the ether and not onto your blog. What I was trying to say was that I was pulled into the coming storm, and loved the line, “earth breathes and cries out…” Powerful.
