It spread across the whole vista, encompassing nooks and crannies and hills and plains. It had an effect of making everyone who saw it feel warm inside. Viewing it led others to copy its joy. At one end there was a deep crevasse people wanted to explore. The other end was partially hidden by a dark cascading wave. The lowest point in the middle was full, swollen, and dipped into a valley. The magnificence was really apparent when the light hit it just right, highlighting the disparate colors and textures: white polish against red softness. It was only truly captured not in a photo but by another pair of lips pressing up against it urgently. Then it faded to another glory.
