Laying it down

I don’t follow star charts
and I think
personality and IQ tests are horseshit.
I see what I want to see
and answer the most crooked ways I can
because I despise linear reasoning
though I like symmetry
and making lists I can cross off.

I’ve bent to others’ will often
because I feel so very small.

I like myths and imagining ancient things
and I think I belong somewhere
just not here most of the time.
Looking at stars is an ok way to pass time
and resting with you is fine.
